School’s Out for Good!
Welcome to 2020… they said, your future is bright… they said. Ever look back on a year and call it a bad, good, maybe even great year, and then move onto the next one? Furthermore, what would you say about this year? 2020, the year you graduated college, received a degree, and the year COVID took a wrecking ball to the job market. Therefore, you may have already had a job lined up and ready to go as soon as you received your diploma. Or you were going to take the summer off and begin applying for jobs in the fall. Either way, chances are both of those plans unfortunately have most likely fallen through. At the end of the day, school’s out for good, now what?
State of Shock
Most recent college graduates, like you, had the rug taken out from under them and many job offers were rescinded. Therefore, it is likely you and thousands of other college grads have moved back home and are in a state of shock. Your plans have been perfectly aligned for post-graduation yet, you are back at home, and feeling like this isn’t happening or having anxiety from the future’s uncertainty.
Now What?
Trying to maneuver through your next steps can be daunting and cause anxiety when your initial plans are derailed.
